If you would like to participate as a NSLS member – bulb dig, volunteer at bulb wrap or gain early entry to bulb sale, join NSLS $10 per household for 2 years via our membership page.

 
March 24 (Saturday)
NSLS Spring Meeting and Bus Tour

We will visit Bachman's Easter Lily growing houses in Farmington. Cost is $10 for members and $35 for nonmembers. Signup form for the bus tour. To join NSLS visit our membership page.

Park in the northeast corner of parking lot to meet bus at 9 a.m. Travel to Bachman's Easter Lily growing house in Farmington for a one-hour tour. Return to Bachman's Heritage Room for a box lunch and a brief membership meeting.

West Des Moines, Iowa. Registration available in March 2018 at www.lilies.org Register by June 5 to avoid higher registration rates.

  • Friday 3:00 p.m. - 7:00  p.m. lily stem prep and entries, photography entries and floral design entries accepted
  • Saturday 7:00 - 9:00 am lily stem prep and entries, photography entries and floral design entries accepted.  Floral design entries have until 9:30 to place their entries.
  • Saturday 6:00 p.m.awards banquet at Poor Richards restaurant on Normandale, just south of 494 and Highway 100 – all members and their guests welcome, $10 cost per person, see separate reservation form
  • Sunday 10:30 – 11:30 am Floral design class in the poly room north of the Heritage room, free for members, bring a friend, (nonmembers $15) register by July 1 by contacting Kathryn Malody by email via the Contact form
  • Sunday 3:00 p.m. take down of show, all members are invited to help

October 12 (Friday) Fall Bulb Wrap (members only)

1:00 p.m., members only, RSVP to Ann Ruehling annruehling@hotmail.com if you would like to volunteer at bulb wrap on Friday or at the bulb sale on Saturday. Volunteers get access to buying some lily bulbs early.

   
October 13 (Saturday) Fall Bulb Sale (open to the public)

  9:00 - 10:00 am members only pre-sale
10:00 am open to the public until sold out

Member sale starts at 9:00 AM  with 10% off purchase.  Bring bulb bucks earned for volunteering at Arneson Acres weeding or digging bulbs; or bulb bucks earned for bringing stems or floral design to the July show.

 
November 10 (Saturday) Educational Speaker and meeting

12:30 p.m.    meet and greet with refreshments provided
 1:00            NSLS Business meeting
 1:45 -3:00   Educational Presentation – Open to the public
